Ideas for multi-generational trip?

We have been to Baha Mar which I thought would be a good option, but the food is SO expensive and I think some family members would spend the trip totally frustrated by that. The Baha Mar restaurants also aren’t great for picky kids or kids with food allergies in many cases and it’s hard to get reservations (though we were there at a peak week so maybe just bad luck).

I will check out the Club Meds. Any Cancun area resorts in particular that people recommend? We will have family flying in from around the country and while there are directs for us to many places in the Bahamas, that isn’t true for other family members.

Expensive and not great.

The Family Vacation Center (FVC) in Santa Barbara might fit the bill with the caveat that the beach isn’t likely to be warm in the way that Hawaii and Mexico are - more like the 70s. The food is mostly cafeteria food (with some exceptions) but that makes it easy to cater to groups. Most people sleep in dorms, but I think they do have an option that’s more like a hotel room. For our family I like having a Multi-bedroom suite in a dorm.
