They might be in a teams' ondeck or other platform, but that doesn't count. But people who had kids swimming last weekend and just this weekend may be a little in the dark as to how they did, and there's also one last meet the weekend coming up.

I literally don't understand this. The entire meet is in meet mobile. Correct it isn't "official" but it is 99% accurate- especially after a meet (as compared to when times are accidentally being posted to meet mobile before the event is complete). I strongly suspect they are in the teams ondeck databases, I don't understand how it doesn't "count." Count for what? Yes- swimmers needs times in SWIMS in order to show provable times- but there is no meet 1)that needs provable times; 2) that the swimmer could have obtained those times at Christmas Champs; 3) that has a cut off for those provable times in the next week or so. There is plenty of time for PVS to process these results.

DP. Only times entered into SWIMS can be used as official times to enter other meets. There are rare occurrences where a swimmer has a time in MM that wasn’t updated with an adjustment or dq or whatever. That time is not recorded officially by USA swimming. One of the reasons why our kids are USA swimming members and pay yearly dues, is to have legitimate times entered in a database. When your swimmer is entered into a meet, their best time is pulled from SWIMS, not from meet mobile.

I see your point about there being no meet that needs provable times in the next couple of weeks, but given the number of teams in the U.S. under USA swimming’s purview, there has to be protocols and standards to keep everything open and transparent.

There are also many USA swimming times that were never entered into meet mobile because the times were not published there (maybe this meet will be one of them). We go to at least 2 meets a year that never get published to meet mobile, and I assume it’s because there are firewalls or something that prevent the host from uploading.

If I were the host, I wouldn’t post. This is annoying.

Be that as it may, the swimmers need their times posted and in SWIMS.

MM doesn't mean anything until the results are finalized and sent out by the host.

My kid scratched from a champs meet last year due to illness. He was still credited with a finals time in the 200 fly. We saw it come in, discussed the fact that he'd probably never swum the 200 fly in a meet, and emailed his coach/head coach to get it credited to the proper swimmer. We could tell that something like Chris Johnson had qualified for finals and they gave the time to the scratched Chad Jennings.

Let's give everyone time to review results so it all gets done accurately. Those officials are beasts!

Don’t worry, someone will upload it to swims eventually. Likely an overworked volunteer or underpaid coach. Some lsc’s allow coaches and admins to upload to swims, but there has been unethical behavior in the past and results have been edited, so some lsc’s have stricter rules about who can upload.

O holy host, the results you've posted at last,
It took forever, but now the waiting has passed.
The swimmers’ times are finally in clear sight,
With every swimmer cheered in the dim pool light.
A thrill of hope, the weary crowd rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Thank you, dear host, for tallying our voices,
O night divine, O night the times were born!
