Those mysterious car-sized drones are now in the DMV

WRONG!

The USAF GLOBECOM site is just east of Bowie, along the Patuxent River just north of Route 50. It’s the primary atmospheric terrestrial radio site for most of the US military central command. All military radio traffic goes through that site. It’s also the receive-end of the microwave communication beam from the Waldorf transmitter relay station, primary feed of encrypted data for broadcast from GLOBECOMM.

This place hides in plain sight. Most people have no clue it is even there. But it is protected on the ground every bit as thoroughly as a nuclear missile silo. They just keep a very, very low profile about it.

This is exactly the type of place I would expect a hostile foreign govt to have a drone snooping around.

At any rate, I’m sure it is our technology. I really do want it to be aliens though. Even if they are going to attack us — I’m sick of all of this shit.

It’s been on the national news the last few nights and the subject of congressional enquiries. It’s also popping up on TikTok with video — they don’t look like airplanes or helicopters.

I said it could build to hysteria. I wasn’t aware your ignorance of something happening was the barometer for something being newsworthy — that’s a neat trick.

Does BWI have a lot of planes landing at 0200? That’s when these sightings are happening.

I don’t think an Air Force general or United States senator would confuse a drone and an airplane.

The drones would start to arrive about 45 minutes to an hour after sunset each night, one official reportedly told U.S. Air Force Gen. Mark Kelly. Kelly described the first drone he saw as roughly 20 feet long and flying at more than 100 miles an hour, at an altitude of roughly 3,000 to 4,000 feet. As many as a dozen or more drones followed, flying across Chesapeake Bay, and then traveling toward Norfolk, Virginia.

"They’re the kind that commercial drone operators use, but they also have features on them — I’m a little limited in what I can say, some of what I know is classified — that makes them not an ‘off the shelf’ drone you’d buy at a hobby store," said Kaine.

Correct. Ft. Meade is also <10 miles away.

Or it could be our technology on some kind of test run? That would explain the lack of alarm or even concern from the feds.

How dare them not shoot it down over a population center?

I am curious about your stupidity. Were you born this way or were you dropped on your head as a child or what?

I know the police in Arlington have been using drones for investigations. Maybe some of them are police departments?

But honestly, I am not concerned about it. I am sure if it was something concerning the gov would take them down.

Well what we DO know is the biden admin isn't doing a thing about them. Their last parting "gift" to their people is nothing. So we all get to worry and wonder. Nice. "Restricted air space" yeah ok! They would be shot down.

They couldn’t possibly have shot it down over that metropolis Montana. Too dangerous!

This kind of gaslighting is why Trump won.

Snore snore snore. Going to hard for you the next couple of years when you don't have Biden to complain about.

NP you can't be serious. I'm going to give you time to think about what you wrote before replying to your dumb comment. Think about it. Re-read what you wrote. Then think about our capabilities. SMH.

Ok, well ... I stand corrected. It is on TikTok. So. Lol.

And I didn't say it wasn't "newsworthy" -- your reading comprehension is really poor.

FFS, people.
