Oof yes, this is true at so many Ivies but not Princeton. The writing seminar alone takes out so many kids.

"takes out" meh. There's many writing seminars that are super easy, and, unlike other universities, you know the profs before choosing the seminar. There really is no excuse taking a difficult writing seminar if you are a poor writer.

How recent is your knowledge? This has not been the case for my daughter and her friends. No one has had it “super easy.”

What do you call someone with a 2.9 gpa from Princeton? A Princeton grad.

Last year applied TO to UVA with a 1420. Accepted.

This year 1350 TO to UMD, W&M, and GWU. Test scores are the weakest link. Submitted to JMU and GMU. We’ll see what happens.

My DC didn't bother taking the tests at all. Based on PSAT scores (around 1100), we decided that it would require a considerable amount of effort to get the score to a point that it would be worth submitting, and that effort and time was better spent improving other areas of the application. So far it has worked out fine.

Good choice. I would have done the same.

Omg too funny.

+1. All that matters.

Last year; better T25 RD results TO than where DC submitted 33 ACT

What state do you live in?

My DC is a sophomore.

UMBC - got in. Waiting on others with similar selectiveness.
I really thought he should have submitted the scores but he did the research through Naviance and felt that because his scores were barely above average for his high school, he wanted to rely on grades alone.
