What clothes hangers do you use?

This is the first thing I thought of when I read the thread title. I think I read that memoir in middle school.

IME, the wood ones look the best and last forever. They are bulky though, so in my closet, they're mostly the velvet kind. I don't like them as much because they break, but they do occupy less space. As with a PP, the wooden ones are in the coat closet. They can handle the weight and look good.

Same. I do have some wooden hangers for heavier items though.

I have tried them all, and I only like the white plastic ones.

I do have the heavy wooden ones in my coat closet though.

It wasn’t prohibitively expensive for me to replace all the random plastic and wire hangers in my house with Ikea Bumerang (wood) hangers. It’s one of those things that gives me a small dose of satisfaction, like I really have my life together, lol.

Wood DH makes them whenever I need them.

People who have velvet ones you like, have you found sturdy ones? I prefer velvet for nonslipness and for not making weird bulges in shoulders, but they are constantly breaking.
