Great Wolf Lodge Perryville tips

You will have a blast. Think ahead in terms of packing when it comes to using the park before your room is ready. Have your suit, maybe a swim cover, etc, in a separate bag so you can leave everything else in your car until your room is ready for you.

They are charging for parking now, just FYI. It's a dumb change, since the entire parking lot is theirs, but it is what it is.

There's a tiny fridge in the room but only one microwave per floor. If you want to save money, I'd pack breakfasts and snacks. Bagel, fruit, yogurt for breakfast and then shelf-stable snacks that won't take up room in the fridge. Splurge on dinner out, but not at the lodge.

I have taken my daughter twice- at age 4 and again at 6. Both times we only stayed for one night, which was plenty. First time we stayed in a regular room and the second a themed room- she loved the themed bunk beds!

Both times we arrived around noon, were able to check in with no line and our room was ready. I did pack a separate bag with bathing suits and cover ups in case our room wasn’t ready. We dropped our things in the room and went straight to the water park and stayed there until dinner. One time we had the sit down restaurant- it was expensive, nothing special but edible. The second time we did take out dinner - I prefer this route.

After eating and showers we went to the main lobby for their evening programs and ice cream.

I brought breakfast items to eat but grabbed coffee at the onsite Dunkin. We did some of the morning theming in the lobby and then checked out of the room. I kept a bag with a change of clothes with us and put the rest of our things in the car, then we played in the water park again until she was over it. Had lunch in the water park area- nothing great but edible.

The shower area was fine and they had bathing suit dryers so I didn’t have to pack home soaking wet suits.

I would bring along breakfast items and snacks and just accept you will have 1 or 2 mediocre over priced meals. Since my daughter is younger I didn’t pay extra for the wand game, arcade, gem mining etc, but I can see her asking to do it if we visit again.

It’s not my favorite trip but honestly the kids have so much fun and it’s easy so we will probably go again.

Use the water park in the evening or early morning if you can. It gets crowded in the afternoon. Be prepared for the stupid magic wand game. And the arcade. They had some fun evening activities if your kid is under 10.

We really enjoyed some of the scheduled activities in the lobby—especially the morning yoga and the storytime in the evening. We did use the locker and showers and both were totally fine. My 8yo loved the wand thing. Borrow a wand from someone so you don’t have to buy one—you can activate it there. OR avoid it. Because while my son loved it, I found it to be a big PITA because he got really obsessed with it and it was crowded and frustrating. Bring breakfasts for the room. Eat burgers, etc for lunch by the pool. For us, the “service” in the nicer restaurant was so bad that I felt kind of annoyed we’d spent the money and time on it. There’s an in house place to order pizza for your room for dinner and bring some fruit to have with it. The eating area by the pool is kind of chilly. Bring hoodies or something in your pool bag. Have a great time.

As other have noted, just bring a separate bag with your swimming stuff when you arrive. If your room isn't ready you just leave your other bags in the car and hit the waterpark until you get a text saying the room is ready.

We've been twice. My kids had a blast.

Check in lines have been long both times we went. You have to formally check in to get your wrist band to enter the water park. You can get your wristband before your room is ready.

We've ended up paying for late checkout both times and then showered in our room before leaving.

My kids like the evening story time and dance party. We also did the magicquest. It's expensive but my oldest loved it so it was worth it. I did not think that the bowling or other activities were worth the cost.

I thought the food at the buffet was good. It was pasta with different toppings, salad, roasted veggies, chicken nuggets, garlic bread. We ate there for dinner both times and brought our own snacks and breakfast foods to keep in the room. We've gotten the pizza for lunch and it was fine. The burger place in the waterpark isn't good though.

My kids and I stayed one night last Christmas. You can go early day of check in and use pool / activities. Food was actually better than I expected. We had dinner at “nice” restaurant and it was decent. Burgers / chicken nuggets from place near pool for lunch. Soft serve ice cream! Which I happily ate while sitting by the wading pool reading a book - my kids are old enough to adventure solo. Surprisingly - I had a ton of fun too on the water slides! It was crowded but the sound of the water kind of muffles the sound of all the people in the pool area.

Its ok. My 8.5 yr old is enjoying water park. My 11 yr old is kind of over it. I wish I’d known the arcade, bowling, ropes course and mini golf were all in one area and smaller than I expected. Bowling only has 4 lanes. Mini golf only has 9 holes.
As said in prior posts food is $$ and meh
There’s not much to do in surrounding area so once kid is over the water park it gets old.
One night would’ve been sufficient. Wish I’d researched it more.
