I have taken my daughter twice- at age 4 and again at 6. Both times we only stayed for one night, which was plenty. First time we stayed in a regular room and the second a themed room- she loved the themed bunk beds! Both times we arrived around noon, were able to check in with no line and our room was ready. I did pack a separate bag with bathing suits and cover ups in case our room wasn’t ready. We dropped our things in the room and went straight to the water park and stayed there until dinner. One time we had the sit down restaurant- it was expensive, nothing special but edible. The second time we did take out dinner - I prefer this route. After eating and showers we went to the main lobby for their evening programs and ice cream. I brought breakfast items to eat but grabbed coffee at the onsite Dunkin. We did some of the morning theming in the lobby and then checked out of the room. I kept a bag with a change of clothes with us and put the rest of our things in the car, then we played in the water park again until she was over it. Had lunch in the water park area- nothing great but edible. The shower area was fine and they had bathing suit dryers so I didn’t have to pack home soaking wet suits. I would bring along breakfast items and snacks and just accept you will have 1 or 2 mediocre over priced meals. Since my daughter is younger I didn’t pay extra for the wand game, arcade, gem mining etc, but I can see her asking to do it if we visit again. It’s not my favorite trip but honestly the kids have so much fun and it’s easy so we will probably go again.
