Their pique is peculiar. |
Well, he is a billionaire FOE (Friend of Elon) but I think it's a solid pick.
Isaacman started a credit card processing company he was in HS and grew that company into what it is today. He also owned a company that rented out a fleet of fighters jets for movies, etc and also a jet fighter demo team (think privately run Blue Angels) that he flew for as well. Plus his work with Elon and Space-X. His first Space-X flight raised a ton of $$ for St. Jude's as well. So, I am going to give him a chance and think he has the business acumen and space exploration enthusiasm to be successful in his role at NASA. |
+1 |
Yeah, it's not like every other Trump nominee is a corrupt sewer clown. Oh wait, yes they are. |
Pretty sure his checkbook got him the nomination. |
You know nothing about him but what you read in the headline and all you focused on was "billionaire" grow up. |
From what I’ve read this pick is straight from Elon. He’s very Space-X friendly. |
Pure corruption |
He and Elon are friends. Pretty positive the conversation went something like this:
Jared to Elon: hey, can I be in charge of Mass. Elon to Trump: my friend wants to be in charge of nasa. Trump to Eli : nasa? Don’t give a crap. Sure, whatever. And that’s how nasa got a not-horrible pick for administrator. I think there will be some culture shock when he joins, but at least he’s someone who is passionate about space and not overtly terrible. |
Think Hubble will get another servicing mission now?

Exactly this. Progressives are idiots. |
News update, the nomination was pulled. Check his wiki page history there is the real reason. No more NASA or space according to updates. |
He was pulled because (1) his close ties to Musk proved a liability (2) he had donated to Democratic candidates in the past. Trump doesn’t give a rats ass about NASA except as a source of money to cut in order to offset his tax plan. NASA science funding is being cut by 50%. |
