I grew up with terrible acne that I still get if I drink soda or drink milk. It’s related to foods I am not allergic to, as I’ve been tested multiple times, but I clearly notice the effects.
Change pillowcase frequently, shower every night before bed, and drink lots of water. |

I'd ensure your kid is washing their face every night with a gentle cleanser. Next, change their pillow case twice a week. Add in patches or spot treatment. And then just see what happens over the next 6 months.
My 10 year old would need instructions about washing her face, so that could be a change for your kid. |

Some kids just have oilier skin. My daughter is like this and got it from her dad who looks quite young for his age now at 45.
If they start early it might mean it ends early - it doesn’t always mean that it’s going to be worse bc it’s early. We got a topical benzoyl antibiotic combo from our ped and it mostly takes care of things. |
| Kids don’t know how to wash their faces properly or consistently and need a gentle cleanser. Does your kid play sports? I have had to explain to my son he needs to shower right after hockey or he is sitting with bacteria brewing on his skin all day if he waits until bedtime. Acne at 10 might also suggest too much sugar or refined carbs in his diet. If you adjust all of these and still have problems, see a dermatologist. |

| Benzoyl peroxide, adapalene, syalicilic acid for active ingredients. All are OTC, see what works. |
| Wash face and moisturize with Cetaphil or cerave morning and night. |
