Do you feel like Arlington is the safest suburb of DC?

Falls Church probably safer.

Where are the armed robberies along Wilson? Ballston?

DP. There have been some robberies at different 7-11s, both over the years and recently. The Apple Store generally gets robbed once a holiday season, if I recall correctly. The CVS at the Courthouse Metro recently had an armed robbery. There are other examples, but this is off the top of my head.

^^^ some of what happens at the Apple Store might be considered larceny or shoplifting, not an armed robbery. But there have been some armed robberies too. Should have been more clear above, sorry!

There's a common misperception that all of Arlington is safe. The truth is that the safe part of Arlington is the nothermost part -- 22207. Then the rest of North Arlington (22205, 22201, etc.) is reasonably safe but they have lots of dense areas that attract lots of crime.

Then, with rare exception, all of South Arlington is much less safe, with crime levels comparable to Silver Spring despite having real estate prices that are at least double those of Silver Spring. In South Arlington, petty crime, shootings, rapes, etc. are fairly common occurrences, and if you live along a busy road, you'll hear dragracing at night.

One can visit the website of the Arlington PD and read all the press releases to verify that this is true.
