I’m not 100% sure I agree but I have lived across a few cities in Northern Virginia. I always thought there was a fair amount of crime around the Columbia Pike area.

Why does how you feel matter in an analysis of data?

The author is only looking at death from transportation accidents and homicides. All other issues ranging from stolen packages and broken car windows to carjacking and violent assault are not considered at all.

Overall, most of Arlington is very safe, but a few places are sketchy. There were back to back shootings in Green Valley this weekend, for example.

Who hoo! Go Arlington. Yes, I agree, Arlington is very safe. Even when there are gun incidents here they are usually not homicides.

Gee, I dunno. Do you feel southeast is the safest part of DC?

North Arlington. But even here in Barely North wecare getting armed robberies in the Wilson Blvd corridor. And criminals fleeing into Metro.
Falls Church probably safer.

The analysis was done at the county level. So Fairfax probably is not.

Depends on which part. Green Valley vs Country Club Hills, massive difference.

Where are the armed robberies along Wilson? Ballston?

ya, they are all safer neighborhoods of NovA. Don't go to Md or MoCO for a house purchase.
