It's incredibly diverse and depends on the neighborhood. Most neighborhoods are pretty diverse; some are majority Jewish, some are majority Hispanic, etc...

"Silver spring" is a big place and encompasses most of the eastern side of Montgomery County. It's not just the urban downtown Silver Spring.

My neighborhood is near Glenmont metro and is majority minority; we are some of the white people, everyone seems to get along ok.

I lived in a working class majority Hispanic neighborhood in Wheaton for 20 years and never saw any of this. The worst that happened was when some kids keyed my neighbors car one time and sometime took a package off a different neighbor’s porch another time.
