My side effects have been minimal. I started at 2.5 of the compounded version of Mounjaro, tirzepatide, and had a little bit of stomach upset/diarrhea and some constipation, but was super careful about consuming tons of liquid with electrolytes, fiber and more and everything worked out great. I eat small meals that have a mix of a little bit of carbs, 30-40g low cal protein, And lots of vegetables and salads. My main side effect has been some tiredness during the day, but I’m able to do everything I always did, I go to bed extra early and sometimes I have 3 AM wake ups but those seem to have gone away for now. Not really a lot of other side effects and I wouldn’t listen to all the horror stories out there because it simply may not happen to you – it hasn’t happened to me and I’m super thankful. |
Not if you get it compounded and online. Plenty of people using it to lose “vanity weight.” And why shouldn’t they? |
Where? I can’t find it. |
Join Fridays, mochi, lavender sky, ANY local med spa that uses the words Weight Management or weight loss on its website, Ro, Slim Down rx, there’s tons and the price points vary. You have to know what you’re doing and not be stupid. I inject myself once a week and have to monitor and care a ton for myself to get the weight off and not have side effects!! But it’s worth it.
And before the stupid comments start, a little bit of vanity weight can turn into life-threatening excess weight very quickly, so if these medications exist and they can help, why not start sooner than later if one has exhausted, a low-calorie and healthy lifestyle with lots of exercise!!??!!! |
Shame on you |
These are amazing wonderful medicines. But they are designed to be used for the rest of your life.
Try weight watchers, intermittent fasting, keto, increased cardio, etc, each for months, and also things like phentermine that are shorter term medicines first. |
PP here. First there is the GI stuff. Diarrhea and stomach pain at first. Worst pain with diarrhea I've ever had. Then that became constipation that was even worse -- multiple impactions that I though I might have to go to urgent care for. I have to be very careful about getting enough fiber, and I've finally broken down and added a stool softener. I had chest pain that traveled into my neck a couple of weeks ago. Thought I was having a heart attack. Nope, just a really weird manifestation of GERD from the Wegovy. Probably the worst thing for me though, the thing that made me almost quit, was fatigue and weakness. At one point I could barely get myself out of the house to walk my dogs up and down the block. I made it to work, but I remember one day early on I literally put my head down and thought "I think I have to go home even though I only have two more hours at work." My DH and I went to see Big Meadows at SNP and we got out of the car and chose to do what is basically just a walk in the woods on a road with no elevation, and it was tough to even do that for 20 mins. I was just exhausted. Fortunately, it has now lifted. But it was a problem for several months. Also: Some blurry vision the day after the shot. Some depression a day or two after the shot. Some gas and bloating. Fortunately, I have had zero nausea and vomiting. |
I know 2 women who were normal weights who used it to fuel their eating disorders. One is now SCARY skinny, the other has horrible side effects so had to stop. |
I’m using the compounded version and side effects have been minimal. I take fiber to stay regular. I had a little fatigue in the beginning but it subsided. |
I have a fear of throwing up so that is mainly holding me back from going on this. I have about 30lbs to lose and am great with exercising but would need to eat 100% to really reap the benefits. Going through an online provider is so tempting but the side effects potentially throwing up is majorly holding me back. It seems like most ppl do not experience this on the lowest dosage but it’s still a risk. Sigh. So tempted though. |
meant eat 100% clean |
I’m on wegovy for 15lbs. I am normal BMI but have put on that weight over past two years from perimenopause. |
