Dealer decals — how is this still a thing

I have done the same thing for 3 new cars now and haven’t had them flip on me yet.

I walked out of a sale because I told DARCARS I didn’t want their little sticker medallion thingy on the car I was buying. I was adamant (but good natured - at first) and we went back and forth for about five minutes. Then they brought in two other men who were supposed to be managers or something. They said it was “the law” that the car had to have the dealer name on it”.

I got up and walked out without another word. It wasn’t even about the sticker at that point, but rather that they thought I was stupid enough to believe them.

This is me. I don’t mind the license plate holder. It’s easy enough to remove. But the decals are terrible. Some of them are big too. I think they look hideous and I’m the type that doesn’t really care about their car that much

They are horrible but easy to remove with a steamer or hairdryer— heat the glue backing and it comes easily off. Some GooGone to get rid of the remaining glue and you can’t even tell it is there.

Agreed. I’m not removing it and I’m not buying any car that has a decal.

Recently got a new car and forgot about the fact that they would put a dumb decal on it. Peeled off in 2 minutes.
