Why wouldn't you care at 60 that you have a hole in your ear? You think 60 year olds don't care how they look? |
This is not true. |
| if you don't like it you can take it out. the hole is not going to interfere with anything |
|
I think they can look good at any age if done tastefully.
Can your hair cover your ear? If so, then I wouldn't worry too much about the healing time. During healing, my ear piercings (6 in all) always got red and inflamed. YMMV. Had my nose done 20+ years ago and it formed a big red bump while healing. Even visited my PCP at the time and he said that he sees it all the time. I just had no idea to expect that! |
Healing at 40 is different than healing at 20, IME. |
This is the only correct answer. |
No it's not. Where did you get that idea? Did you develop some kind of a blood disorder? |

Second Helix at 46
First at 16 Do you! |
Yes, it is. |
| I got two cartilage piercings when my daughter had her lobes done. It was a fun experience together! They did take 9-12 months to fully heal, which was a pain. I would consider more but not sure if I’m up for only sleeping on one side, especially now that perimenopause has started affecting my sleep. |
| Ew. |
Because OP will look at the hole and think: I was a badass making decisions for myself at age 50 and I have no regrets. Maybe I will wear some jewelry in that hole today. |
| It may take a long time to help the older you are. Keep that in mind. |
| I got it done at 35. Ended up taking it out a year later. The hole really isn't that noticable. |
