It’s half a spot too low |
| Who gets to do the world ranking? I want that job. Everyone could then benefit from my insight on the best universities in the world sorted to the upmost precision by only the best rubrics. Really, really good rubrics. People say me I have the best rubrics for rankings |
Oof Brown low and Dartmouth not even on here, just like other lists. It is similar US-School wise to the QS world ranking pecking order(my international spouse prefers QS when targeting US schools): MIT harvard Stanford Caltech UPenn UCB Cornell Chicago Princeton Yale Columbia UCLA NYU UMich Northwestern CMU Duke UTAustin UIUC |
Duke and Northwestern are overrated in the less reliable USNews who has them top10 |
How often does your spouse target schools? Sounds like it is a regular event Is this to plan vacations or something? |
| Where is Dartmouth??? |
Berkeley is top 10 in Forbes, WSJ, QS and Top 20 in USNews. It consistently has programs in top 5 in almost every subject. It is a large state school and still manages to do remarkably well in almost all rankings. |
It’s in New Hamphire. Small state in the Northeastern US. Sits along the Connecticut river which makes it easy to get up there by canoe from the ocean |
We have 5 children, 2 in college at top 10s QS, one senior and two youngers. The backup is McGill if they do not get into one of the QS top 20 US ones or Oxford/Cambridge |
UCB is undeniably elite; UWASH no. Different tiers . |
It is 168th in the world, or 51st in USA right behind UVA at 50th(163). That makes me happy |
| How is Michigan ranked so high |
It’s Berkeley light. It has academic excellence across all disciplines. The question should be; why isn’t it ranked higher at USNWR? |
| I graduated from Cambridge University. Although Cambridge is ranked very high, anyone who believes this methodology is a fool. |
LOL!! Loved this |
