Did Angela Alsobrooks really get illegal tax breaks like the commercials say?

She really did take those tax breaks. I think it’s a pretty big deal and they know it. That’s why they’re bringing in the big guns to endorse her (Obama) so that people will forget about it.

Personally, I don’t dislike her, but I don’t think she is best for Maryland and I don’t think she’s ready for the Senate.

Did you read the post/article on this thread at 9:29? How can you find a $750 tax credit comparable to Hogan’s extremely questionable practices that netted him millions?

If Hogan announces he will caucus with the Senare Dems, I’d vote for him over AA in a heartbeat.

If Trump wins you are helping him get the senate too

Trump is not winning. Harris is. That may have been a concern with Biden but Harris is winning the election.

You were never going to vote for her regardless of these tax issues. And I doubt you're a Harris voter. Look, I get that Hogan is desperate because he's trailing so badly, but honestly it's just a sign of how he's grasping at anything that he's turning this story into such a big deal. Is he going to speak out about Trump's millions in tax issues and Trump's billions in grifting? Or is he too busy kissing Trump's feet?

She took over the mortgage on her grandmother's home after her grandmother moved out, and the property still received the homestead credit even though the primary occupant was no longer living there. This seems like a normal oversight.

Separately, she moved from a townhome in PG County to a SFH, but never transfered the homestead credit. This is a little sloppier, but it resulted in her paying more taxes, not less.

Basically, this feels like a dumb mistake but not corruption.

So unintentional paper work errors? Democrats lose their mind over Trump having paper work errors and being convicted over it (when the vast majority of times they’re simple misdemeanors), yet when a Dem does something similar they’re writing it off as a ‘misunderstanding’ and an ‘error’.

Complete hypocrisy. It sounds very similar in many ways to what Trump did.

Well enjoy this nice Saturday sitting and wringing your hands, frustrated that other humans are not acting in the way you demand.

But he hasn't announced it, and he won't announce it, and if elected, he won't do it.

He could have voted for Biden in 2020, but he didn't, he voted for Ronald Reagan - who is ineligible to be president, not just because of the 22nd amendment, but also because he's dead.

Harris is winning Maryland either way, whether you vote for hogan or alsobrooks has no impact on that.

That's true but if you care that Democrats stay in control of the Senate then you vote for Alsobrooks and overlook the fact that she made error in her taxes, and instead of saying "whatever, who cares?" She said, "OMG, so sorry! I will pay every penny I owe on this right away and get a new tax preparer! This is so embarrassing. Again sorry."

I'm voting Trump/Alsobrooks. I don't like smarmy politicians who hide their true intentions, so Hogan is a big no for me.

Would you say a bit more about how you view Trump’s true intentions?

I agree with you that at least Trump is pretty upfront about who he is but Vance is absolutely the smarmiest guy who hides his true intentions (if he even has any!). Trump isn’t going to live out the 4 years so you would definitely get a President Vance.
