I have never ever let HHI decide bonus or raises. I know that is wrong.

But there is an ICK factor when someone is struggling with two kids in college, car troubles, sick spouse who just gets beat out on paper for promotion by someone who is a multimillionaire who does not need the money. I did it anyhow.

My colleague recently found out I am very well off (due to my DH’s income). I wasn’t being secretive but also not being open about it. Now coincidentally he is much less friendly. I worry he will not support me anymore!

Assume he won’t and keep working hard and asking for his supportive performance review.
