Do people think she should’ve given up jobs to other black models? Get real. She made it easier for those who came after. She wasn’t obligated to give up her own career for that.

Absolutely she should not give up her job to others. But she shouldn't have told designers to block certain other models; it's an Uncle Tom situation. It's fine to be her ride or die if you like her so much but you need to be ok with others not respecting/admiring her for setting others back in multiple ways. I don't think she made anything easier for anyone that came after her. That's the problem with falling into a stereotype.

To the PP who rambled incoherent assumptions about people not helping others- you wouldn't know what people do or don't do to help others, but some people do more than NC did, clearly.

This sums it up perfectly. Her job has always been to look amazing and she's done that without fail. Expectations that she be kind, honest, not a violent bully are assuming she is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside, and that is a high expectation of any of these women.
