I go to the movies all the time by myself. It's so much better. Many people work odd hours, so friends may not be available to go catch a flick if you're working something like a 12-8 or 10 PM - 6 AM shift

No because I can't think of a reason to go to a movie with 4-6 other people. And if I did I would have no issue sitting separately because why do you need to sit next to all your friends at the movie. Just go out for drinks or dinner after when you can talk. I once got talked into seeing a movie with a big group of women on a girl's night and it was the dumbest thing because there were like 10 of us and everyone (but me) wanted us all to sit together in the same row. They were asking other people to move to accommodate us. I was so embarassed. I get wanting to sit next to your kids or your partner at the movies but beyond that I just don't get what people think movies are for. You are in a dark room sitting silently and all watching the same screen. It doesn't really matter who you are sitting next to. |
| I’ve always gone to movies alone. Sometimes if I’m with a group, I still sit by myself. I like space and hate noise. |
| People still go the movies these days? |
I adore going to movies by myself. I don't have to care what anyone else wants to watch, where they want to sit, and I don't have to share my snacks
