Yes they do |
My middle schooler was given his scores but they are not posted yet |
No they do not if you are in APS. Kindergarten does VALLSS for reading and VKRP for math. MAP testing starts in 1st grade for math and 3rd grade for reading. |
I see my MS student’s scores posted in ParentVue under the Test History tab. |
Except… my new K student already has her scores. |
For EMAS not MAP |
Parentvue only gives composited scores for NWEA. Can parents get the full report to see how kids do on components? I asked but didn't get a response. |
Sweetheart, no. It says NWEA on the page. |
My kids teacher said they would send this home ahead of parent teacher conferences. |
What school? |
An APS elementary school. Now I don’t want to say because I know teachers read on here and I already told her exact scores. But you’re wrong saying that APS doesn’t do NWEA Map testing for kinder. |
What MAP score would be expected for a 1st grader? |
Both my middle and high school kids tests are posted. |
Find norms and sd here. My kids score was reported as a number and percentage. ADHD drugs took my kid from average to the 90th percentile in both. Thank you Phrma! |
There are two parts of the score - the RIT score that is supposed to be comparable over time and the percentile that says how your child did compared to other 1st graders. Ignore the RIT score for now, you can use that after your kid has taken the test a few times. Generally you want to see an upward trend. Instead look at the percentile. Granted it is a zero sum game, so someone has to be in the bottom half of the distribution overall, but if my child was below the 40th percentile or so I would talking to the teacher about what we need to work on. |
