Churchill Road "Rodeo"

Yes, we did. They were themed with the history of our town (not McLean). ...and that included rodeo...

That is one cute group of kids. It really sounds like you have a bit too much time on your hands. Maybe you should look into knitting. There wasn't really a Fu Manchu debacle, and I doubt that anyone with native american roots, myself included, would go running from the room in terror because of a bunch of kids in cowboy hats. Heck, we used to like to play the cowboys growing up.

Maybe you should find another sandbox to play in.

Churchill Road's attempt to think out of the box shows that the people involved probably belong in a big white box and restrained from doing themselves further damage.

Wow...if that picture distresses you, I would hate to see your reaction to the nightly news.

This thread is hilarious. I usually go to the nanny forum for my daily dose of DCUM looney tunes, but I think the outrage over the Churchill Road Rodeo fits the bill!

I'm not OP but this post has GOT to be satire ... GOT to be!!! If it is not, then someone really needs to get back on their medication!!

OP - you are unbelievable. That photo includes kids from my son's class. The kids all loved the reading rodeo and many of the books kids chose were multicultural. Maybe you don't realize that cowboys were (and still are) a real part of the U.S. and that a number of cowboys were and still are African American, Mexican American, native American, Hawaiian, etc.? Perhaps you need to stop "whitewashing" your history and learn more about the topic on which you are commenting before you make such ridiculous posts. Kudos to the school (and parents) for getting the kids more interested in reading.
