You understand that the NRA is a private organization right? It has nothing to do with general gun ownership, has been a barrier to common sense gun safety laws, and is in fact evil. That doesn't mean everyone who owns a gun is also evil. Will Republicans please try to get your heads out of your asses?

+1 A lot of liberals like myself (and Kamala Harris and Tim Walz) are gun owners, and unlike the MAGAs we agree that this country needs common sense gun reforms and more responsible laws governing access to guns. That *does not* mean confiscating all guns.

As a Democrat, Harris’s willingness to say and promise pretty much anything for votes is starting to make me nervous. This definitely looks like pandering to the aspects of the country that consider gun ownership and vigilante justice to be signs of strength. I can accept pivoting on certain policies, but this is starting to look like popularity, not values,
is all that guides her. Doesn’t augur well for her actual administration. What will she flip-flop on to secure reelection, for instance?

Its not pandering to be in the "grey zone" between Maga and progressives. She is for gun reform and also has a gun, which is safely stored and registered etc etc to use for personal home protection. Nor would it be if she went hunting and had hunting rifles.
