School gatherings for parents

I don’t hate these but I don’t love them. I go to about half. By now, I have gotten involved in smaller groups or specific volunteer events/opportunities that I feel are worthwhile or where I can contribute my strengths. But I don’t kid myself that the other parents and I will ever be big friends.

The big events I treat as anthropology/sociology research opportunities.
