Remind me how long until we get MAP results

It may take 1-2 months. Just write the teacher in 1-2 weeks and ask for the summary.

Last year it was available online around Halloween, I think. DC's day-of verbal report on their scores has never actually been correct. I think the result screen is not as simple as we might imagine, so grain of salt until you get something in writing. Hard to wait if you are thinking of placement lotteries, I know, but even then there is fuzziness anyway!

Some years it is in early Nov.

Why on earth does it take so long? The score literally pops up on the kids' screens instantly...

Umm...you are on this forum. Have you not picked up on the trend? It's mcps. folks are here because something is wrong, information is not clear, no one knows the actual answer. So, to answer your question: it would be too easy for mcps to do what you think (scores appearing right away). If your precious Larlo didn't jot down his score (and didnt make a mistake writing it down), or memorize it, you gotta wait until report comes. Or bug the teacher.

You can see in parentvue what date it was available last year

Last year we got them on October 21st.

Their "deadline" is probably by end of Q1

We’re new to MCPs. Where does it show up in parentvue?

Does the score start showing up on the screen at the end at a certain grade level? I just asked my son (3rd grade) and he didn't see it. Also as a teacher I've never seen it or heard kids talk about it (lower grades).

Yes. My now 4th grader has been telling me his score the day of the test since last year ands it’s been always accurate. My 1st grader is yet to figure out how to read the screen…

I don't think 1st graders are getting numbers on their screens...

It is in the documents tab. So far this year we have interim Q1 report.

The first graders do get the scores on the screen. There are several scores and it sounds like the total score is labeled "overall score".
