Emily in Paris season 4 - the actual show, not her weight!

Spoilers below:
Genevieve is annoying with no redeeming or humorous qualities.

The writers keep boomeranging us between Emily and Mindy’s will they won’t they relationships with the same people and it’s super tired already. How many men from different countries can Emily date while delaying ending with Gabriel?

They literally ran out of a storyline for Camille and stopped featuring her, which is a shame.

Laurent just disappeared.

There was evidently a time lapse of months between Christmas and the next episode featuring a polo match, yet they wrote it like it was days later. Lazy.

The fashion is ugh.

The marketing pitches are ugh.

The only enjoyable character anymore is Luc and I’m happy to see more of him.

I didn’t even realize the time lapse thing. That was so weird. I agree with you but would add that I’m glad Alfie has a girlfriend. Dude is way too hot to be sitting around moping over Emily.

Luc and Sylvie are my favorite characters - and Luc especially, of the two of them. If they do move this show to Rome they'd sure as heck better keep Luc in there!

Do you think the show has finally given up on Emily and what's his name - the chef? It feels like they gave that storyline a little closure. But I just don't buy this new boyfriend. First of all, can this woman not be single for 30 seconds? Second of all, this handsome polo playing scion seems like he'd be a player - charming and attentive, and also not exactly looking to settle right down.

And ALSO - can we talk about the fact that Emily has never been to New York? And has apparently never left Paris to go ANYWHERE else in Europe, where she wasn't being dragged along by some boyfriend?

Yes it’s so effective! I’m a middle aged, Midwest, mom of little kids in a blah marriage and it has me so loooooonging for my 20s and all my travels even though they were with way less money and love interests than in the show. I’m pondering whether by the time my kids are in hs and I can ditch them for a week, will I be too old to be glamorously wondering around the streets of Rome, staying up let, being interesting and doing interesting things

Except all of the characters look 35 acting like 27 year olds.

Yes I find Emily to look so much older this season. I think bangs help make her look younger but they keep pinning them up.

I thought the same! She does not look like a kid anymore. I hope the show lets her grow up and mature a little bit now, to go with her look.

I find the fashion incredible. For the same reason I watched SATC

I think it's the heavy brows with her thin face. I'm Gen X, and her face sometimes reminds me of hippie Boomers in their 50s who didn't tweeze their brows and were starting to get hairier.

So- she’s been in Paris for 4 years - has she travelled anywhere else in Europe?

She hasn't even been to London. She's like the worst stereotype of an American. She's also learned virtually no French except for whatever Google translate gave her to say in that last voicemail to Gabriel.
