Who Writes the It’s X Month What Are You Reading Post?

I'm in publishing, so I was curious to see how the Book Club went. One of the most active threads was someone specifically asking about romance novels, or sex in novels, or something related. I don't remember exactly. But it was a longer thread than most.

I appreciate any discussion about any books. But as with physical book clubs, there are always the people who keep it alive and thriving, and others who are just happy to be there.

Plus one. I hope all readers feel welcome here.
I am thrilled that DCUM now has a book club section, as only about 2 years ago the book discussions were mixed in with the entertainment section. The book discussions got lost in the sea of discussions about whether XYZ celebrity has fat arms or if ABC celebrity has skinny legs.
If someone on here reads Hop on Pop and wants to tell us all about it, that is great, in my opinion.

I still haven't read any of her shopaholic books. She also wrote several books under her real name of Madeline Wickham and I have not read any of those yet. I probably won't get them all read this year, but that is okay.

I find the low brow books completely off putting. I don' t read them so I don't discuss nor do I want to read enthusiastic waffle about them. Sorry.

I guess us book readers are a pretty low maintenance section of DCUM.

I find the thread disappointing sometimes, as there's only pockets of discussion and usually for very populist titles. Some people just list titles and say nothing more. There's really no value in that.

I don't need a ton of discussion, personally! I've gotten some wonderful book recs from DCUM.

I find value in title lists. I’m always looking for ideas. DCUM reviews are nice but I can find other reviews of the title myself.
