| Wow way to fat shame people, skinny b___ch. No, that is not what it feels like to be overweight. Your husband is scamming you big time. |
| The weight during pregnancy isn’t distributed the same usually |
|
No, and to me the biggest difference is that the baby is inside your muscles, instead of outside them. The difference is that when you are carrying weight, your core muscles are still intact holding your spine upright. When there's a baby, all the muscles are on the outside of the "weight", completely stretched out and unable to hold your spine upright.
I've been at a weight that was the same as my 9 month pregnant weight and it felt TOTALLY different. Pregnancy is far, far worse. Your H is an idiot, sorry to tell you. |
Your DH is nuts and since he has never been pregnant, how can he speak to the two? They are not even remotely the same. Overweight is a more gradual body change. |
| I am my 40 weeks pregnant weight now and it’s not the same. At least for me. I had tons of pelvic pain when pregnant, could barely stand from sitting. I move like a regular person now |
| You are growing a human being! Actually it’s equivalent to running a marathon as your heart and lungs are pumping for two people! Your husband really is an ass. I hope you guys get a good couples counselor before the baby comes., |
| No, not at all. Being pregnant definitely feels worse. |
|
No. I’ve experienced it all - being pregnant, being my ideal weight for my height (120), overweight (150) & obese (180). Overweight & obese were different from pregnant - when pregnant, I had back, bladder, breathing issues & tiredness that I didn’t have while overweight/obese. However, the 1 thing I found common is feeling hot- I was hot a lot of the time when pregnant & overweight /obese.
Frankly the fatigue/tiredness was the worst about being pregnant, & I did not feel that way when overweight/obese. It is no joke. |
| When you’re pregnant (a) hormones can make you out of breath independent of the weight (my first pregnancy sign was being constantly winded weeks before I gained weight l) and (b) pregnancy stretches your ligaments so low back pain and / or injuries are a risk. |
