Rec coaches yell more than travel coaches. Unless there's a tactical adjustment to be made, yelling is rather pointless. Things don't sink in during a game. It's all noise. Practice is the coaches' time. Games are the kids' time. |
Strategic fouls are actually part of the game. Watch professional men's and women's games, more than a few minutes here and there. You may even hear the broadcasters mention something be a good foul. I'm not talking violent play or anything like that will get a player carded but sometimes fouling is necessary and a good idea. |
