Model marital relationships in the Netflix series "The Parisian Agency"

The women, particularly the Mom and Grandma look real but all of the women in the show look real.

Grandma has a key roll and is treated with respect.

This show is refreshing.

OP - you’ve got me hooked on the show. I know they mostly only show the good parts but the family plus real estate eye candy are both enjoyable.

The only criticism would be the pressure to put their family first - what about the DILS’ families and careers? I wonder what would have happened if COVID hadn’t derailed the move to Lisbon!

Lastly, I feel bad for Valentin. While I admire him marrying an older woman (12 years!), he should have known that a big family was not in the cards.

Because my French family is NOTHING like this. In fact, over generations, it's had everything that movies like to include, including that one murder.

OP here. No, this family is exceptional by French standards. I, too, have French relatives, so I know.

A PP might be on to something, their attitude and values might have to do with the (secular) Jewish focus on family and community.

Harvey Weinstein was secular, too. So was Epstein. Why exactly should it be about the religion when you can find every religion (or no religion) has its wonderful families

I want them to adopt me. The family relationships are my favorite part of the show.

The women not being overly-done up is in-part French culture. Natural is favored and if you are using anything like Botox, it is lightly used and never talked about.
