Any reason for my teen to have VPN on their phone?

Thanks for the heads up. I just checked and my teen has 3 VPN apps downloaded. I will be deleting them when they get home and locking allowing apps

VPN ms are also very useless for watching content on YouTube and the internet from other parts of the world - when you get that not available in your country message.

Most are blocked. I have tried a few on my phone. A tech guy told me NordVPN (paid) might work, but I have never checked.

I can see that my kid has X-VPN on their list of apps downloaded. Is this an issue for school? Never even heard of a VPN or that they were so bad.

Mobile signals are really bad in parts of schools and the wifi kids have access to is really locked down. VPNs let them get their fix without MCPS blocking it.

Yes they want to watch youtube and X while in school it is them by passing the schools attempt to stop phone distractions in school. Schools are now threatening to take the phones cause kids are doing the VPN stuff.

At our DCC HS kids can't use phones during the school day. It's so odd you have these issues.
