I spent a lot of time researching and shopping for tires last week. Michelins were much better rated than Pirellis by most people, don’t know about Yokohamas. It came down to Michelins and Continentals in the end and I went with the former. |
NP. Costco is only giving me Michelin or Bridgestone options, but that's fine; I was afraid there would be no options at all for my vehicle. |
what kind? |
| I’m the pp tire snob. I’ve had pirellis and Yokohamas. The highest end Michelins are quieter and ride smoother than the highest end from both. Those are the only 3 brands of tires I’d buy. But these are for passenger cars/suvs. If I had a M6 or GT3 I may put something more performance minded on. |
| I’m a tire snob and I prefer Michelins. |
| Got Mud Terrains there. Happy with the cost and service. But, I'm no tire snob. |
| Great deal. I also find that places like Mr. Tire are not always honest and will find other things that they "noticed when your car was on the rack". Costco honestly doesn't care. |
I don't think Pirelli makes a single class-competitive tire. Whereas Michelin PSS is considered by far the best summer performance tire and is OE on the 911. |
