She won’t win any awards. She is not respected or liked by her peers. She was snubbed for a nomination for her blackface role, A Mighty Heart, as proof.

She sold her part of the chateau (10% of which he gifted her) that was both a family business and family home to a stranger without first consulting Brad. Now, she is pretending to be the victim because he sued her. She seems to think she can treat people like crap - alienate them from their children, destroy their business interests - but no one can fight back against her attacks.

She does not embody Callas in any way, shape or form. She's way too cold and reserved. Callas had a big bold effusive diva personality. Jolie can do intense and imperious but can't inhabit that kind of larger-than-life personality. Bad casting.

The producers released a clip from the Maria movie and she doesn’t nail Maria Callas’ accent and personality at all. She’s a terrible actress who can only play herself. The movie is getting poor reviews as well. It’s probably another bomb for her.

I've seen mixed reviews but some that seemed to like her performance, which surprised me. Apparently she does quite well with the performing piece--which again, if you've watched Callas, was a mix of boldness, warmth, flirtation, etc so I can't see it. Nothing like Jolie. But I haven't watched any of the films in this trilogy and don't plan to start now.

I agree the clip did not present her performance well. She looks beautiful, but looks and acts nothing like Callas. The butler was very good. It was a strange clip to choose. Why not a more compelling one of her 'performing,' if apparently she did okay there? Anyway, Netflix thinks it will do okay. They don't care about super-high quality just big names.
