Any good electrologists in Bethesda or Rockville? Mine retired during or right after the pandemic.

You can get home electrolysis kits on Amazon for $30-50. It's not painless, but I expect it wouldn't be painless if you had a professional do it either (although I've never tried). The good thing about the home kits is that when a new one pops up overnight, you can zap it immediately instead of making an appointment.

Funny, I used to get one or two hairs on my chin until I went into menopause. Now, nothing!

You husband was making fun of his own mother for her chin hair? Did you marry a teenager?

Check again. They could be coming in as white hair.

I just pluck them. I have had one on the underside of my chin since my mid-40s. I'm not 53 and hit official menopause about a year ago and there are about 3 more on the top of my chin.

But yeah, when I notice them I pluck them. There aren't enough for me to bother with anything else like elecrtolysis or waxing.

OMG. I hope that doesn't happen to me either. Awful.

*now* not, "not."

Electrolysis didn’t work for me long term but YMMV. My suggestion is you do laser now while you only have a few hairs and they’re still black. Mine have all turned WHITE and I’m out of options. If I hadn’t done several rounds of laser hair removal treatments in my 30s (I’m early 50s now) I would’ve been in worse shape.

I have a dumb question- if the chin hairs are white, they don't show up like the black ones? I feel like I could live with that. The black stick out straight ones, I can't!

The white ones are better but still not great when they are like an inch long.
