Impossible to get from excepted to competitive service?

Try DCSA, we are only going in one day a week (except for small intel shop)

It does when you can ONLY work in the office on certain computer systems.


The issue then is that you don't like your current job and you want a new one that allows telework. It isn't about competitive v. excepted service. There are thousands of full-time or near full-time remote workers in the excepted service.

I made the switch for similar reason. I applied to 100 jobs or so. It was hard work and I networked like no other.

It was a project that took me year and I wasn’t giving up. 5 months into competitive service job and all is well.

Just keep at it.
