That is the most inane thing I have ever heard. Nobody who watches the Olympics cares about or watches boxing.

They kissed up to the sports we were heavy favorites. We did garner some boxing medals but being they were not the sweet heart gymnastics and track and field they ran down our throats they stuck with what they thought we want to see. Olympic boxing is part of our fabric, win lose or draw. Shame on you NBC

I mean, I understand but I don't like boxing. So this was a non-issue for me.

I was SUPER excited to see so much field hockey this year. I love to watch it at the elite level. And the games did not disappoint.

I remember watching Sugar Ray Leonard in the 1976 Olympics. Boxing in those days was must-watch TV. Not so much anymore. NBC televised the events that would attract the most eyeballs.

I watched men's field hockey and we don't have Peacock.

Yeah, and we watched some women's. It was definitely on TV

I will add though: finding coverage was a mess, at least on Hulu. It would say "Olympics - table tennis" and you'd turn it on, and it was actually water polo.

So it was entirely hit or miss for us.

I saw women's field hockey, so they did show that.

Boxing is not a popular sport anymore, overall, in the US.
