Wolf Haircut ?

This cut is a little dated - 2021/2022 kinda. I’d tell her to wait until she starts high school before making any major hair changes bc she could be someone out of touch with trends and may regret

The short cuts are cute. There is such a variety of the cut. She can bring in a picture.

Looks fabulous!

Why are you all so critical of a cut that a 14-year-old wants?! She’s a kid. Experimenting with hair can and should be fun!

Insufferable judgmental ladies on here, probably look like Oompa Loompa. OP didn’t ask for your opinion. She asked where to get it.

People aren’t judging that she wants the cut, only that this type of cut has a high likelihood of going wrong or not looking how the OP’s DD thought it would. OP, checks out the stylists’ instagrams once you have a couple choices narrowed down. I would only pick someone that has a picture of a client they cut with the haircut your DD wants.

Are you really on here telling everyone that you know style better than a 14-yo girl and you are in touch with trends better than anyone and they will just regret anything they do, wanna be Anna Wintour? That is really sad but I hope you feel better about yourself with that dig? Maybe it gives you that little extra spark to watch some insta influencers and keep trying to kick off your "business" today?

lol. No, hardly, but I do have a 16 year old girl with a lot of friends and I observe what they all are doing. Also just recommend waiting on a major change like that until starting a new school - going into freshman year the vibe can change and they suddenly want vastly different hair and clothes after a few weeks. Seen it happen.

Add in how hard it is to get the cut right and I see a lot of tears potentially. And a horrible painful grow out period

Seriously. It's so...creepy that people are zeroing in on a kid's appearance like this. Also, teens don't want to have the same hair as their moms! Teens think we're all old and uncool. This is normal. Let kids be kids.

DP that hasn't posted before in this thread. I have a 14 year old. If she came to me with that request, I would ask that she wait until after school starts to do it (a new cut like this should've been done right after school closed, so that anything disastrous would have time to grow out), because there is high probability that it will go wrong. If she wants it anyway, take a picture to someone whose portfolio contains well done wolf cuts.

No one is zeroing in on a kid's appearance - OP didn't post a picture of her kid. We're just telling her that this haircut is likely to go wrong and to prepare for it.

That's why OP asked for hair salon recommendations, and other posters offered them. With Bristle or Bang, you'll get a great wolf cut, the stylists do these all day long. Only OP can judge whether DD is going to be sensitive about a hairstyle change but I am pleased that most teens I know seem very casual about haircuts so it wouldn't be a big deal in my world.
