DD 14 wants a wolf haircut. Any recommendation around DC or Nova to get a haircut that is a bit edgy and does not break the bank? We live in Gtown where haircuts are ridiculously expensive and all but edgy
|
| Tread lightly. It is likely she will end up with a mullet |

I don’t know what you would consider breaking the bank, but Bristle would be my first recommendation. My kid goes here and the stylists are great.

Really? Is the alpaca look done? All teen boys look like alpacas around me. |
Read again. It’s a girl. |
| It’s a cross between a shag and a mullet |

Trust me, she will end up with a mullet. Very few stylists can get this right |
Ha, I came to post Bristle too! Nate cuts my son's Wolf Cut, but all the stylists are great. |
OP here : I can see that! Growing up in the 80s was fun but hardly an example style-wise. I don't know what these kids want to revisit it lol But her hair, her trip... |
| This doesn't work on all hair types and face shapes. Consult with a stylist first. |
This. Bang is the answer. |
My kid also sees Nate
|
| 14 is the time to have a dumb haircut. |
+1. This is a haircut where you will never be able to convince your teen that the cut she's seeing on Insta or wherever is not what her hair is going to look like. I also think it is an objectively ugly cut. That Bristle page is probably a good place to start because there are real people on there with that cut. It might bring her closer to reality, but probably not. Best to steel yourself and prepare for the tears after the very expensive hair butchery you pay for. |
