A combined retail/gathering space, possibly with retail on one level and gathering on the 2nd (although would need an elevator or something for strollers). Stocking baby essentials from diapers to strollers. Coffee/snacks in the gathering space, as well as any classes or seminars moms would want to attend.

I am also exploring the idea of offering a baby supply delivery service, free delivery within a limited area, small to moderate fees depending how far you go.

Like ordering a pizza? That would be really cool.

WHAT???? You mean like diapers.com? Whoa, novel idea!

Boy, you're an asshole.

Sure, OP, as long as the pricing was comparable to BRU and Target.

OP here. Yes, like ordering a pizza. Delivery time might be a bit longer than that Maybe a few hours. Since this is an urban setting, I'm thinking of the parents who can't leave the house b/c baby is sleeping, or they have other things to do, or they've come into the store to shop but can't carry all their items home because they don't have a car, i.e. they walked, took metro or the bus, and can't carry all their purchases plus the baby.

16:11, take your meds.

16:16, thanks.

No. Things like diapers, formula, etc can be had soooooo much cheaper wholesale. I would stop at CVS for diapers if I needed some in a bind vs an over-priced baby store (which it would have to be to turn a profit).

Georgetown has a couple places with some baby items in the back and I always thought 'who in their right mind would spend that kind of $ on a damn sippy cup".

I think that would be awesome. That would have come in handy during those first few weeks in the middle of winter, after a c-section and DH was at work.
