I am a huge fan of Levain cookies and so I’ve received them from people as gifts but they’re not good shipped. I’d never say anything to the senders, but they’re like gross hockey pucks. The appeal in store is that they’re still warm and slightly under-baked. Can’t recreate at home.
We get zingerman’s cinnamon buns every year from a friend and they are good but not amazing. My mom likes the corned beef meal from Katz’s. The cake boss cakes held up perfectly. We got a lobster dinner via gold belly that was a fortune and it was good but slightly annoying bc some stuff came frozen, other stuff needed to be cooked. Couldn’t just enjoy. I think non-perishables do better honestly. Fishers or Garrett popcorn. Vinebox is super fun. Pears from Harry and David. Or you can just Instacart something locally to your recipient. I door dashed my friend a pie from a local bakery. |
| I have had good luck with DiBruno Brothers, Murray's Cheese, Vosges Haut Chocolate. |

Question - has anyone had both Essa bagel and Russ and Daughter's bagels? Which is better? Want to send with lox, etc.
My go to gift is William Sonoma frozen croissants. |
Agree. Going to the actual cafe is an experience. But the gift baskets are absolutely trash and taste terrible |
| Shatilia Bakery baklava. Best baklava ever. And it ships well and keeps for a long time. |
You can search for 25% off coupons |
Never ever ship lox. It won’t go well for whoever eats that. |
I agree with this completely. So much so that I think we should be friends.

I get Zucker's shipped to me frequently and it is always good. |
| I ship Spoonful of Comfort |
| DiBruno’s hoagie pack. |
My sister in law sent this after our baby was born and it was a pretty presentation but very overpriced. I think she paid like $100 to ship two containers of chicken soup and some rolls. And the soup was fine but not much better than what’s at the grocery store. |
| American Spoon. Best products, non perishable (mostly). Those of you sending Zingerman’s are not doing your friends a favor. Have you ever tried to eat anything from the gift baskets? They are so so bad. Never mind the price, I wouldn’t even want one free. |
