What's your go-to for sending food gifts?

Anonymous
For us it's https://zingermans.com/

Love the place in Ann Arbor and it's worked out EXTREMELY well every time we send a gift box. It's what my parents get every Christmas, send their bereavement packages... everyone loves it. Very easy to deal with and the free shipping usually arrives around 2 days earlier than what they promise. If anything, it gets there too fast when you're trying to time a gift.

But, any other suggestions?

Love zingernans too as well as zabars.

When MIL passed away, DH's office sent an entire meal from Honey Baked Ham and that is now my go to.

We had received so many sweets, that a meal with proteins and veggies was devoured. Also a deli tray of sandwiches sent by a local person.

+1 for Zabars, though it does appear to more expensive and more kosher (obviously)... Zingermans has some nice cheese and meat stuff...

I'd love this!

Regal Deli in Plainview, NY to people on Long Island, and Essa Bagels via Goldbelly to anyone elsewhere in the country.

Gold belly is so expensive - it just seems like the worst way to order.

Zahav via Goldbelly. Their dip selection easily serves 6.

Came here to say this. I go to the site, but can never bite the bullet on what you get for the $$$$

Honey baked ham sounds superb!

The ONLY way to get Essa Bagels is through Goldbelly if you can't get to a location. You can order H&H bagels directly from their website and it's about $15 less, but they have fewer options.

Levain cookies - look for a coupon and it’s still expensive but not that unreasonable ($50 including shipping)

Also not a Goldbelly fan.

I like to do pretzels from Eastern Standard Provisions. Freeze well if they don't want to use immediately and the bites are great to have on hand for entertaining.

Zingerman’s is always #1 but also like dibruno brothers and Levain.

Zingermans is overpriced mid level.
