You germophobes are insane. Nobody has ever fallen ill because they wore shorts on a plane. Goodness.

Thank you for saying this. I knew I couldn’t be the only one who had this reaction. I think DCUM must have a significantly higher number of germaphobes than the general public.

I have a pair of Lululemon lightweight pants that fall just below the knee. Super comfortable travel pants.

Change at the airport for sure. I get so cold on planes so I always wear pants/sweater and then stuff it into my backpack when I arrive

Is this a serious question ?
Wear shorts.
I wear men’s shorts or women’s shorts that are longer. No issues with wearing them on a plane.

Lightweight pants

I would either wear lightweight pants, leggings under a shorter dress, or a maxi dress.

I do not want my legs touching those seats, it's just not comfortable.

See if Old Navy still has any Stretch Tech pants. I bought some last summer for travel in August to Italy and they were the lightest coolest pants I have ever had. Wore them on the airplane. Uniqlo also has some lightweight things.

Why are shorts miserable on a plane? Do they not fit?

Hammer pants are the way to go.

1. Because it’s usually cold on a plane.
2. Because all the sitting surfaces in airports are vinyl or metal, and they are too cold when they are not too hot.

Too hot too cold. B f’in hoo. How do you people function day to day?

Shorts and a t-shirt with a hoodie over it in case it's cold on the plane. Remove hoodie when you arrive at your destination.

Alternatively, pack a blanket and put it over your lap / around your shoulders if you are cold.

Stripper breakaway pants.

Does this really require advice?
