Need Legal Help Microsoft Account Hacked - CANNOT contact live person

PP. On this particular weblink, there are references to possible live support from an agent.

You never mentioned if you are a subscriber to Microsoft365. Are you paying Microsoft monthly for anything? You might be able to get referred to real people by getting transferred through the bill paying question 1-800 number.

Agree with person above who said to work on these issues during sleep time in France (1-5 AM).

Here is a link to a thread with more information from customers with problems.

One suggestion is to make a new e-mail account and turn your old one into an alias account.

Not knowing the extent of what was in/tied to your account, is it possible to let it go at this point (assuming you extracted what you wanted on one of your successful logins)? You need to assume that any useful data has been copied off already.

I have tried that. I can’t login to my account because the hacker changed the email and password.

Only if you can give them your account information. I no longer have the information because the hacker changed it

Are there any news organizations that do a “On your side” segment that I can reach out to?

I read an article about a woman in San Francisco who got her IG account hacked and was unable to communicate with Instagram about it. She finally went to the local news “7 on Your Side” and they were able to get in touch with Instagram so they would help her.

I feel like I need something like this to get in touch with Microsoft.

PP. Have you called any 800 number you have related to payment for services?

Yes, I have called the 800 number but I can’t get through the recordings. Because I can’t provide the account info because the hacker changed it.

I am so beyond frustrated at this point I'm seriously thinking about flying out to Seattle and knocking on the door to see if I can get someone to listen to me.

This is one of the most exasperating things I've been through. I truly cannot belive that there is absolutely no way whatsoever for me to be able to communicate with Microsoft regarding my account being hacked. There must be some way? I would assume that law enforcement would have a way of getting in touch with Microsoft right?

This won't solve my problem. The hacker has control of the authentication email address so there's no way for me to change any security settings without the hacker being able to override it.

I have a few more leads for you. I don't know if you have tried this yet:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/collections/7dnrcypee3dogo?gad_source=1

I was advised by a contact at Microsoft to try this number: +1(844)200-3507 but I have no idea where it goes.

Also, maybe you will find something useful here:

Thank you for your help Jeff. I called the phone number you listed and the call went through to a live person with a thick Indian accent that said “Thank you for calling support, how may I help you today.” No mention of a company name, no phone tree to go through. It seemed very suspicious so I hung up without saying anything.

I googled the phone number and couldn’t find a direct hit, but I found some online discussions where people had been contacted by scammers with phone numbers that started with 844-200
