Yeah- seems core strengthening is the best thing you can do for it. It is not too late for you to do core exercises! My 60yr old brother and 87 yr old dad still do core exercises and they tell me if they stop doing them for a while- it really impacts their lower back. Both played football. My dad walks with a walker and has Parkinson's. They are not strenuous exercises. Like many things, you just need to set aside the time..
