Good Divisional Hosts this year

2nd 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Damascus Swim team for hosting! Not only parking was plentiful for six teams, they did special drawings in each team area and warm welcome drawing each team logo on hula hoop and having their divers jump out of them. Thank-you for hosting!!!

My understand is that because they were only given 2 home meets the reps threw a fit and refused to host divisionals.

The league tries to balance out pools getting 2 or 3 home meets. If a pool has had 3 home meets in recent years they gave them 2 this year. Previous DC always gave them 3, but new one shook it up by only giving them 2.

Tuckahoe usually hosts divisionals because they have one of the fastest pools due to a high ledge that practically puts kids on starting blocks.

So one other team in tuckahoe's division usually just got two meets, if they always got three? What douches.

You don't know what you are talking about. The number of home meets you get is based on your ranking in your division. Ranks 1-3 have 3 home meets, 4-6 have 2. It is in the handbook and hasn't changed in at least 10 years. https://mcsl.org/handbook/

I think the above comment about tuckahoe has to do with NVSL which apparently does things a completely different way with a “seeding meeting” etc. MCSL is 100% automated for division selections as well as who gets how many home vs away meets, it’s all in black and white.

Fox Mill Woods did a very nice job for Div 13. No complaints except they did not enforce pool house bathroom use for volunteers and swimmers only (female swimmers had to wait behind spectators who were instructed to use portajohns but who frequently used the two stalls).

Kids reported food was excellent!

Regency Estates was a tremendous host in MCSL Division D. The staff at that pool hosts teams unlike anyone else. We got a chance to swim there twice this year (meet and divisionals). They make amazing breakfast sandwiches and provide one to every volunteer.

Was there for a B meet and had the same experience. That is a good community with great people. In place of breakfast sandwiches they were grilling some burgers and chicken.

Stratford was great!!

Thank goodness Countryside got their toilets fixed. I had to take the absolute biggest dump and literally had to scold kids for occupying the stalls to change into their precious bathing suits because they needed privacy and wanted to sleep later.

Franklin Knolls was excellent for Division C! Great facilities, very, very well organized with a shuttle service from the Eastern MS middle school. All of the volunteers were lovely to this visiting volunteer. Division C was a great group of teams this year.

Hats off to them for hosting both Divisional Relays AND Individual Divisionals after the Tuckahoe reps threw their temper tantrum.

+ 1 - Loved it! Also loved watching more Marshals have to fuss at Tuckahoe kids (just like at ASRs) because apparently they can’t.follow.rules. Overlee was fantastic! Announcer was chef’s kiss! Loved the viewing area. Fast kids, lots of spirit, super fun.

NVSL has a totally different process. Tuckahoe is in NVSL D1.

Wrong league dude - quite the misplaced condescension there.
