The NY Yankees are scum

I feel like both teams probably acted in ways I would not want my Little league player or HS player to act.

The Yankees have hit the Orioles more than ten times this season. The Orioles hit the Yankees three times, including one pitch that grazed Judge’s wrist. Not his head.

I’m the parent of a pitcher who throws 85mph, and I can promise you that he never wants to throw at someone’s head - or plunk them! - but it happens. I know the O’s and Yankees HAVE been plunking each other, but almost no pitcher would intentionally hit a player in the head (they’d intentionally throw a few inches in front of their face and miss, though, I suppose). So it’s possible this wasn’t on purpose.

You sweet summer child.

I can’t remember which pitcher it was but a few years ago he made a big deal about the rules about the sticky stuff rules He said with summer pitching his hands were really sweaty and he was very worried about losing control and accidentally injuring a batter. I know my HS oitcher keeps their pant leg covered in dirt so they can wipe hand on pant to get a bit better control.

It was hot and also raining at this point.
