The Yankees are pieces of shite. We all know it |
| Twenty-seven World Series championships say otherwise. |
Fu ck you you f picking piece of shit -in my best Bensonhurst accent |
| Agreed |
| That’s why I can’t watch baseball anymore and the dumb unwritten rules. Tough guy throwing at someone’s head. Baseball viewership and participation keep declining year over year. The sport is probably behind soccer and hockey now. |
| Used to hate Jeter with a passion. |
I’m the parent of a pitcher who throws 85mph, and I can promise you that he never wants to throw at someone’s head - or plunk them! - but it happens. I know the O’s and Yankees HAVE been plunking each other, but almost no pitcher would intentionally hit a player in the head (they’d intentionally throw a few inches in front of their face and miss, though, I suppose). So it’s possible this wasn’t on purpose. |
You sweet summer child. |
85 ain’t getting that kid anywhere near a good level |
| Hockey plarers would handle this properly, not with baseball's goofy group hug. |
Greg Maddux had quite a career throwing 85. |

I’m not clear why OP is blaming the Yankees. Wasn’t it the O’s manager charging the dugout that cleared the benches today? And didn’t it start from an incident last week when the O’s pitcher hit Judge in the head?
I feel like both teams probably acted in ways I would not want my Little league player or HS player to act. |
I can’t remember which pitcher it was but a few years ago he made a big deal about the rules about the sticky stuff rules He said with summer pitching his hands were really sweaty and he was very worried about losing control and accidentally injuring a batter. I know my HS oitcher keeps their pant leg covered in dirt so they can wipe hand on pant to get a bit better control. |
I don't even care about the Yankees but I have issues with Jeter for all that herpes spreading he did. |
