Is this summer more hotter than prior few years?

Yes, it's hotter. We can't seem to adequately air-condition our bedroom level, whereas usually it's only a problem on fewer hot summer days.

We have some fans that we keep on pretty much 24x7 during the summer to circulate air. It helps. We're in a townhouse w/ no ceiling fans. Our last house had ceiling fans and that TOTALLY helped

I can’t judge well based on my own discomfort, but I planted sun, heat, and drought tolerant plants a few years ago. They are brown and withered or not blooming this year.

My tomato plants are usually booming and they are dead.

Same, or at least camps that have some indoor time/respite. My elementary aged kid was at an all-outdoor softball camp last week, and it was brutal. No real shade near the field.

I canceled soccer camp because they have no indoor options. I think that sort of camp is a dying breed. It used to be fine, but is really intolerable this year.
