Pools that don’t play music?

Our Arlington pool has started this. Hate it.

Dropped out of our local pool because of this. No thanks.

Sounds like a lot of people here want to move to Bomont.

The compromise was only to play it from 2-8 every day; not much of a compromise. I don’t understand why a pool needs music. And it’s really ruining the experience for me. Did the poster above also say something? Maybe we can take another run at getting them to change their minds.

Yeah, that's too long, I'd be fine with a music happy hour. Not everybody likes the same music, let alone six hours of the same music.

Portable speakers?!!!! Why would they allow it??

I totally agree with you, OP. I belong to Kenmont which thankfully does not play music. Kenmont isn’t perfect but at least it has that going for it

I know which pool you're referring to!!!

But doesn’t some music make it more festive and ‘happening’? Doesn’t it help create a relaxed summery vibe?

Not when it’s loud enough that you can’t carry on a conversation anywhere near speaker.

Not if it's music you don't like. Or if you're not looking for a "festive" environment.

Right. Festive and happening once in a while is okay but a suburban pool doesn’t need to be festive and happening every single day to attract users. It’s not a 20 something crowd coming to these pools.

Our pool plays music all day and we love it. Glad to hear all of you don’t like it so our pool will stay fun and a happy non judgmental place and you will stay away.

Which pool?

Wow. OP just said they didn’t enjoy music at the pool and was looking for info on pools that don’t play music. I don’t see how that or the other comments is judgmental.
