Do any of the neighborhood pools in the Bethesda area not play music? The one I have belonged to for years just decided to play music all the time. May be looking to find a new pool that doesn’t play music. |
Bannockburn doesn't. |
Did you complain, OP? |
What tunes are they playing? |
You must be at our pool. It's awful. |
I have nicely raised the issue and they did a poll and said they got both negative and positive comments. The compromise was only to play it from 2-8 every day; not much of a compromise. I don’t understand why a pool needs music. And it’s really ruining the experience for me. Did the poster above also say something? Maybe we can take another run at getting them to change their minds. |
Ours doesn't - they have a lot of sound restrictions because it's in the middle of our neighborhood. Also Bethesda. |
What’s your pool; I’m thinking of which ones I want to get on list for for next year? Thanks. |
Ours in Olney plays the radio but it is not at a volume that is intrusive or inappropriate or annoying. Usually country or rock radio. You can really only hear it on crowded days if you get close to the guard house. The people with portable speakers are way more annoying. |
That sounds horrific. |
The only thing I would hate worse than a pool with broadcast music is a pool that allowed portable speakers. Why??? |
That’s horrible! Our Silver Spring pool does not! 7 year waiting list though :/ |
Yuck. I'm in a different area but my pool also started playing music this year. The music isn't bad or blasting, but sometimes I'm just there for some quiet it to read a book. I don't like this trend. |
Carderock Springs is pretty quiet during the day. Some Fri/Sat evening stuff. Nice facility and tennis courts. But pricey. |
Ours in NoVA plays it, and I hate it. |
